The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Esuabana Nko Asanye, attended the official inauguration of the Child Rights Act 2003 Amendment Committee. The event, organised by the Federal Ministry of Justice, marks a significant step toward strengthening child protection frameworks in Nigeria.
The Committee is tasked with reviewing and updating provisions of the Act to reflect emerging realities and ensure enhanced protection, welfare, and rights of children across the country. The inauguration underscores the Federal Government’s continued commitment to safeguarding the rights and dignity of every Nigerian child.
